A Russian rocket carried a South Korean Earth-probing satellite into orbit on Friday, according to a spokesperson for the Russian space organization Space Troops. Carrying the Arirang-2 satellite, a 29-meter-long Russian rocket, Rockot, was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia at 11:05 a.m. local time.
