Corot Satellite Embarks on Planet-Hunting Mission (TechNewsWorld.com)
The European planet-hunting satellite, Corot, was launched into polar orbit on Wednesday, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The 670-kilogram (1,477 lbs.) satellite was lifted into orbit on board a Soyuz-2 vehicle, the Russian news agency, Interfax, reported.
